Carson's letter was absolutely on point; Shales, whom I like, was way over the top with his criticism of Charlie and George. Their questions were entirely appropriate. But, the media has apparently also drunk the Kool-Aid, and won't be happy until Obama gets the nomination. I'm a journalist; I've been embarrassed by my own profession during this entire campaign. If you need any proof whatsoever that the press is in Obama's back pocket, just look at the whining and screaming over the tough questions he got at a debate. Poor Barack: he was actually forced to confront issues important to the "values" voters democrats need, in order to win. Obama will be the nominee; he will get shredded in the general by GOP attacks on himself and his wife...and folks, it will be 2004 all over again: the man better qualified to be president, will go down to defeat. | |
